Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae - 05
Story in a nutshell. Read from the subtitles. XD
The first truly decent episode of the third season. Really felt hatred towards the grandmother in the beginning, then escalated that feeling when the true villain was revealed. Even more when the villain gave her reasons for doing such hideous acts. This feeling was what was really lacking in the previous four episodes, and this episode has really brought out that factor that was so important in making the first two seasons a hit.
However, yet unexplained are a few things:
- has the roles of the 3 main sidekicks been reduced to mere few seconds' worth of fanservice?
- who exactly is Yamawaro? (besides being a shota)
- isn't Kikuri supposed to be the next Jigoku Shoujo?
- how is it that Enma Ai just seems to have accepted Yamawaro, without any prior explanation, when Yamawaro wasn't even existent in the second season?
I really really hope these questions can be answered, and soon. For now, this episode has changed my mind (temporarily anyway) about dropping Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae.
