Sobs... HTML is horrible.

I've been trying to figure out for the past 2 hours how to make the 'Read More' function work, because I've realised my posts are too long, and the many images makes my blog take some time to load. But html isn't easy, and the format of my blogskin somewhat makes it even more complicated. Any blogging pros out there, who can easily play around with the codes?
